Account Deletion

You can request deletion of your Kinesa account and all associated personal data at any time. This page explains how to do it and what happens afterwards.

In-app method (recommended)
- Open Kinesa on your device.
- Go to Settings → Data Management → Delete Account.
- Confirm your identity and submit the deletion request.
You will receive an in-app confirmation and an email acknowledgement once the request is received.
Email fallback
If you cannot access the app, email support@kinesa.app with the subject "Account Deletion Request" and include the email address associated with your Kinesa account. We may ask you to verify your identity before processing the request.
What is deleted
- Account profile and sign-in linkage data (email, display name, photo, fitness profile)
- Workouts, gym sessions, and exercise history
- Nutrition logs, custom foods, and barcode-scanned entries
- Habit tracking data and streaks
- Mood, energy, and sleep logs
- Progress photos and body measurements
- Community (Unity) participation records tied to your account
- Device tokens and notification preferences
What may be retained
In line with our Privacy Policy, a small amount of data may be retained after deletion:
- Anonymised, aggregated analytics that cannot be linked back to you
- Records that we are required to retain to comply with legal, regulatory, or accounting obligations
- Community posts you made in public feeds may remain in anonymised form unless you delete them before requesting account deletion
Retention window
Your personal data is deleted within 30 days of a verified deletion request. This matches the retention window stated in our Privacy Policy.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR and EU GDPR you also have the right to access, correct, restrict, or export your data before deleting your account. To exercise any of these rights, contact privacy@kinesa.app. We respond within 30 days.
